About Me

Hello there! My name's Gonçalo Pinto and I am a video game programmer from Portugal. I see myself as an eager learner, passionate about embracing new challenges, and always on the lookout for a bright and fun teamwork project.

I believe that teamwork, alongside a positive and proactive mindset, build the best foundations for successful and innovative projects. Besides coding, I do cheerleading. I consider both to be crucial in game development.

On my spare time I enjoy playing videogames, reading and binging tv shows, due to the power they carry within the narrative to transport us to other worlds.

Software Engineer

MadManTech

I use C++ with a custom OpenGLES-based rendering engine to design and implement features for real-time aeronautics applications. I also contribute to the ongoing development of the engine and collaborate with international teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions.

Godot Game Developer

2023 - 2025

FABAMAQ

I used the Godot game engine with GDScript to design, develop, and maintain systems and plugins for igaming projects. Additionally, I implemented game logic that integrates with our backend services. My responsibilities also included documenting and presenting my work to colleagues, as well as supporting designers who utilized our framework.

I partook in a research grant to develop a VR game for rehabilitation of the negative symptomatology on stable patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. I was in the game design team, although my role is prototyping game design ideas and concepts within the Unity Engine for validation and to communicate with other.

One of the main skills of this Master's is to teach its students to work in groups in a project-oriented logic, allowing them to obtain practical experience in every moment of game design.
